Being 100% ecological means making your own diapers. You can find a pattern right here (made by Ottobre design in Finland). The fun part about making your own diapers is that you can use all kinds of fabrics with crazy designs and bright colors. It’s tempting not to wear trousers anymore then. Searching the web you’ll also find shops that sell packages including pattern, textiles and other things you need to make your own diapers.
Pull on diaper cover
Here you can find a pattern to make your own wool pull on diaper cover. Wool covers are especially usefull using tie nappies. The costs of tie nappies are really low. You need about eight tie nappies a day but because it’s one size you can use them for a diaper lifetime.
Make your own but not alone
Often you’re not the only one being pregnant. So if you have pregnant friends use your sundays for sewing diapers. That’s fun and cheap.
Ready to go washable diapers
Besides making your own cotton diapers there are numerous possibilties for cheaper and ecofriendly diapers. Pampers, huggies and other well known disposable diapers don’t rule the world.
